X-ray systems

Zeelta develops spectral X-ray systems for non-destructive testing (NDT) and security screening. Prototypes have been built and tested for aviation security and industrial NDT. We run pilot projects with partners and adapt the systems to their tasks.

Non-destructive testing

Spectral X-ray separates materials by their element composition. In tests the systems detected inclusions in aluminium alloys, surface cracks in turbine blades and defects in composite layers that conventional X-ray did not distinguish.

Security screening

A prototype for luggage scanning was tested with the IATA standard test set. Spectral data helps to tell organic materials, metals and hazardous substances apart.
